Tributes are multiplying after the death of the British artist and former member of the group One Direction following a fall from the balcony of his room located on the 3rd floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires.

On Instagram, American artist Charlie Puth said he was “in shock” and paid tribute to Liam Payne with whom he had had the opportunity to work on several occasions. “Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I had the opportunity to collaborate with. I can’t believe he’s gone…”, a- he confided.
“I’m so upset. May he rest in peace,” he added in a second post, accompanied by a photo alongside Liam Payne.

Producer and DJ Zedd, who collaborated with Liam Payne on the song Get Lowreleased in 2017, also expressed his emotion following the announcement of the disappearance of the British singer.
“RIP Liam… This is unreal… This breaks my heart so much,” he wrote on X.
“Life is short and fragile… You never know what people are going through. We live in a time where rudeness, discord and meanness are normal, sometimes even celebrated. There is no need for so be it. We should do our best to be kind, supportive and caring,” he added in another post.
“We spoke just two days ago. I’m really going to miss you,” artist Ty Dolla $ign also said on Instagram.

Singer Olly Murs, who appeared on the X Factor a year before One Direction, said he was “devastated” after news of Liam Payne’s death. “Liam shared the same passions as me, the same dreams, so seeing his life end so young touches me deeply.”
“Liam Payne was an incredible support during one of the most difficult times of my life. I will never forget him,” said Max George, a member of fellow boy band The Wanted, one of whose singers , Tom Parker, died in 2022 after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
Several big industries in the music world also joined Liam Payne’s friends to pay tribute to him. Spotify, MTV and the Brit Awards said in separate statements that they were “deeply saddened” by the artist’s passing.
For now, the other members of One Direction – Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles – have not yet reacted to the death of their former collaborator.
