An enigmatic message that took on its full meaning. Céline Dion posted on Wednesday on Images accompanied by a date: “10.10.24”.

This date corresponds to the 61st anniversary of the death of Edith Piaf, who died on October 10, 1963 at the age of 47, but also announces the release of the title on streaming platforms, available for listening from this date. Thursday 12:01 a.m.

A remarkable return

The release of “Hymn to Love” was highly anticipated. The performance of the singer with 250 million albums sold was one of the highlights of the opening ceremony of the Olympics, exploding the views of broadcast videos posted on YouTube.

The moment was all the stronger as the singer, diagnosed in 2022 with an autoimmune disease, stiff person syndrome, had not sung live and in public since 2020. This rare neurological pathology, with no cure known, forced her to abandon tours and residency concerts in recent years.

The 56-year-old Quebecer can live normally between the manifestations of the disease but until now could no longer envisage world tours or residency concerts in Las Vegas.

Other songs from the Paris Olympics have already been released on the platforms, notably the song “Parade” composed by Victor Le Masne or “Nightcall” by the trio Kavinsky/Angèle/Phoenix as well as “Mea Culpa (Ah! ça ira!)” by Gojira, with Marina Viotti.
