Will we see a high-profile capital derby soon? Still, history seems to be in progress. As announced Wednesday October 9 by L’Équipe and confirmed by RMC Sportthe Football Club, of which businessman Pierre Ferracci (72) has been president since 2012 and the majority shareholder, will be bought by the family holding company of the Arnault family: the 3e world fortune, according to the Forbes ranking, will enter into exclusive negotiations next week to acquire the majority of shares in the current leader of the Ligue 2 championship (18 points in 8 days; 6 victories, 2 defeats).

In this major project which will undoubtedly change the landscape of French football, we find alongside LVMH a (minority) partner of choice: Red Bull, where a certain Jürgen Klopp has found a position. The energy drink brand will be the footballing endorsement of PFC, a club founded in 1972.

Contacted by Agence Presse, the Arnault family and Paris FC did not wish to comment.
