New chapter in Jürgen Klopp’s career. After Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, the former coach will discover a very prestigious position in the Red Bull galaxy.
Jürgen Klopp is embarking on a very exciting new challenge! Without a bench since his departure from Liverpool last summer after nine years (2015-2024), the German will find service again. This time, there will be no question of coaching a team, Klopp will discover a much greater role than that of coach.
The 57-year-old will be the new global director of football for the Red Bull Galaxy, effective January 1, 2025. In a few words, his role will be to advise the energy drink brand’s clubs, consider transfers, and give his opinion on the game played and the philosophy of Red Bull training.
As a reminder, the Red Bull Galaxy currently owns RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, but also New York RB, RB Bragantino in Brazil and Omiya Ardija, a Japanese team for which Red Bull recently acquired 100% of the rights.
A very attractive role for one of the major players in modern football. According to SkySportsJürgen Klopp would still have imposed a condition on Red Bull: that of having a release clause in the event of an offer from the German selection to take control of the Mannschaft.
It would then be necessary for Julian Nagelsmann, current coach of Germany, to leave his position. But Jürgen Klopp obviously has a very specific plan in mind for the rest of his career.
