As announced, the Storm Kirk arrives in and goes hit the territory with strong winds and intense rains. If the North should be relatively spared, part of the territory stay all the same under surveillance and is placed in yellow vigilance by Météo France services.

The south of the department could indeed be hit by heavy rain. “At the edge of the most intense zone of precipitation on the Oise and especially the Aisne, accumulations can locally reach 30 to 40 mm on a very small southeastern portion of the , and on the eastern part of the Avesnois for the department,” explains Météo France.

And assures that if “this does not require a move to orange vigilance, the situation remains to be monitored”. Caution will therefore be required.

In its 6 a.m. bulletin, Météo France placed 30 departments on orange vigilance mainly for rain-flooding, but also for the risk of flooding and strong winds, and has not already ruled out strengthening its vigilance at red level, facing this rainy event of rare intensity, particularly in the .
