TRANSFERS Ryan Mason, the young 33-year-old English coach, would be tipped to take the reins of Anderlecht. Currently an assistant at Tottenham, he has also held the positions of youth academy director and interim head coach at the English club.

Mason currently works as an assistant to Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham. He also took on the role of interim coach at Spurs following the departure of José Mourinho. At the time, Mason, aged 29, was the youngest manager to take charge of a Premier League match. Mason is highly regarded in coaching circles.

Mason, a former professional player trained at Tottenham Hotspur, made his debut with the first team in 2008. Subsequently, he was loaned to several clubs, including Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Millwall and . At Spurs, he played alongside Jan Vertonghen. In August 2016, he transferred to Hull City for €15 million, becoming the most expensive transfer in the club’s history at that time. After hanging up his boots, he returned to Tottenham, first as youth coach and then as academy director. After the departure of José Mourinho and a short interim period, he continued to work with the first team. He was assistant to Antonio Conte and Ange Postecoglou.
