The sequel to the terrifying Spanish film is available on Netflix, and… you’re going to have to have your heart (or rather your stomach) strong to reach the end!

Released in full confinement in 2020, “ The platform » made a lasting impression with its dark and gripping story, and is now one of Netflix’s most viewed productions.
As a reminder: between a psychological thriller and a social satire, this dizzying Spanish horror film takes us into “the pit”, a prison unlike any other. Here, each floor of an immense tower corresponds to a cell with, in the center, a hole through which descends, every day, a slab full of food supposed to supply all the prisoners, distributed two by two on hundreds of levels . A supply system that favors the first served, and starves the last… until the levels are reallocated, at the start of each month, in a completely random manner, and therefore for the better… or for the worse!
A visceral struggle for survival
This cruel lottery which whets the appetite is relaunched this Friday in a sequel which promises to be even darker and more violent, with new characters, this time played by Natalia Tena (Tonks in the “Harry Potter” saga), Hovik Keuchkerian ( Bogota in “La casa de papel”, here unrecognizable) or even Milena Smit, revealed in “The little girl under the snow”, also on Netflix.
Faces known to push the cursor of fear even further, offering, through a devastating rebellion, a new complex reflection as much on human nature and our most primal instincts, as on the notion of sacrifice, the actions solidarity and the societal horrors that man is capable of enduring in a world where individuality reigns supreme.
