Borussia Dortmund showed their strength in the Champions League by winning 7-1 at home against Celtic Glasgow. This second day allowed the German club to consolidate its position in the competition, signing a second consecutive victory after a 3-0 success against Club Bruges on September 18.

Although not established, the Algerian international Ramy Bensebaini made his debut at the hour mark, while Dortmund already led 5-1. His performance, although limited by the context of a match already concluded, was nevertheless notable. Bensebain contributed effectively to his team’s offensive attacks, bringing his versatility to the left flank. He was incisive in his climbs, although he did not have to face intense defensive pressure from the Scottish team, already cornered.

His participation in the offensive dynamic of Borussia stood out with several dangerous overflows and crosses, putting into difficulty an opposing defense overwhelmed by the speed and precision of the German game. On the defensive level, although called upon a few times, Bensebain was never really worried, calmly managing the rare incursions of the Celtic.

This large victory places Dortmund in a good position for the rest of the competition, but the challenges ahead promise to be much more difficult. Indeed, during the next day, the BVB will move to Santiago Bernabéu to face the Real Madrid, reigning champion and executioner of the Germans in the last final. Next October 22 will therefore be an opportunity for revenge for the teammates of Bensebaini, who will have to surpass themselves against a Madrid team that is still formidable on the European scene.
