Beaune is mobilizing for Pink October with a solidarity Roul’Boul this Friday, October 4

Throughout the month of October, the City of shows its support for Pink October, the global campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer screening. Every night, the Town Hall will be lit up in pink, a strong symbol of solidarity towards all women affected by this disease and in tribute to prevention actions.
One of the highlights of this mobilization will be the Roul’Boul de la Ville, a sporting and friendly initiative, which will be held on Friday October 4. This event, open to all, young and old, aims to remind people of the importance of early detection. From 6:30 p.m., residents of Beaune are invited to gather at the Gaspard Monge Library parking lot for a bike ride through the city. The instructions are simple: come in pink to support the cause!
This accessible and symbolic cycling route aims to strengthen cohesion around this public health cause. Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children under 12 years old, thus guaranteeing the safety of the youngest participants.
Beyond the illuminations and this bike ride, the main thing is to remember that screening remains the most effective tool in the fight against breast cancer, for women and their loved ones.
