Lhe International Football Federation (Fifa) unveiled on Saturday the twelve American stadiums which will host the new version, with 32 teams, of the Club World Cup in 2025. The tournament is scheduled from June 15 to July 13.

MetLife Stadium in New York was chosen as the venue for the final. Two Orlando stadiums, Camping World Stadium and Inter&Co Stadium, were selected. The other selected cities are Atlanta (Mercedes-Benz Stadium), Charlotte (Bank of America Stadium), Cincinnati (TQL Stadium), Los Angeles (Rose Bowl Stadium), Miami (Hard Rock Stadium), Nashville (GEODIS Park), Philadelphia ( Lincoln Financial Field), Seattle (Lumen Field) and Washington (Audi Field).

“Football is the most popular sport on the planet and 2025 will mark the start of a new era for club football when FIFA hosts the largest, most inclusive and fairest global football competition for the first time. clubs here in the United States,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who made the announcement at the Global Citizen Festival in New York, alongside celebrities including actor Hugh Jackman and music producer DJ Khaled.

Infantino promised “a new chapter in the history of world football”. However, the expanded tournament has sparked controversy, with fears it could further clog an already busy schedule and deprive top players of a proper summer break.

The draw will take place in December. The tournament will also serve as a test for the 2026 World Cup, which the United States will co-host with Mexico and Canada.
