Tadej Pogacar makes history
Crowned world champion for the first time in his career this afternoon in Zurich, Tadej Pogacar also becomes the first Slovenian crowned in the road race.

The triple crown for “Pogi”
Tadej Pogacar allows Slovenia to add to its team record, after the previous titles of Janez Brajkovič (U23 individual time trial in 2004) and Matej Mohorič (Junior road race in 2012 and U23 2013);
“Pogi” enters even more into the legend of his sport and achieves a “Triple Crown” Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, World Championships.
A feat that only the Belgian Eddy Merckx (1974) and the Irishman Stephen Roche (1987) had achieved before him.
