While visiting “Europe 1” on September 28, Jarry spoke about his decision not to expose his children. “Regularly threatened on social networks”, the host wants to protect his loved ones at all costs.

His children above all! Last weekend, Jarry opened up about his parental life in an interview with “Europe 1”. While almost twenty years ago, the comedian revealed his homosexuality, it was in 2016 that he resorted to surrogacy in order to become the happy father of twins. Since then, the 47-year-old Frenchman has admitted to being “regularly threatened on social networks”.

Although he often reveals his daily life with his family, Jarry is nevertheless forced to hide the faces of his children, Vic and Tim. “Unfortunately I have to hide them […]. I try to protect them, because it was me who decided to be famous, it’s not their choice,” he reveals. The host then said he felt terribly sad at not being able to live his passion for humor with his loved ones: “I would like to have them play in the films I am in but I am so afraid that we will hurt them.”

One more frustration knowing that his 8-year-old twins, also fans of humor, love to play jokes on their dad. “My children have understood that making people laugh is a way of being accepted, especially for them who are shy. They have this attitude, they love reading humorous comics, they try out jokes…”. The host often shares videos of their valves on Instagram.

But it’s still impossible for Jarry to bring his children on stage. While he has been presenting his show “Bonhomme” for almost a year, the French actor hopes one day to succeed in bringing them with him into his shows: “If one day things calm down and we manage to live with kindness, I would really like them to go on stage with me.”

For his children, Jarry stopped his career as an animator

During the interview, Jarry had the opportunity to return to the chance he had to become a father, eight years ago: “I thought I wasn’t entitled to it […]. I said to myself “who says homosexual, says fatherhood”. So, I’m so happy to be a dad today.”

A happiness that the comedian had published on Instagram with tender photos of the twins (from behind) on the occasion of their birthday, on June 30. In a kind message, Jarry sent them all his love: “You are so pure that I will protect you until death. Happy birthday, I love you more than the stars.”

Despite his notoriety, Jarry always put his family before his career. On July 25, the Frenchman said goodbye to “Everyone wants to take their place” which he had been presenting for a year on 2. On Instagram, he declared that this decision was partly linked to his children, who he didn’t see as much as before since the show.

“Daily, it takes a lot of time, I have seen my children very little this year. So I decided to keep all this energy for you, in the public,” he confessed. A carefully considered choice, he who is on tour throughout France, Switzerland, Belgium and Canada until 2025.
