ATP – Finals > Too strong for Ruud, Zverev joins Alcaraz in the “final” of group B

Following on from his title at ‐Bercy, Alexander Zverev will be very hard to beat at the Turin Masters.

Two days after his quiet victory against Andrey Rublev, the German once again showed himself uncompromising this Wednesday evening to overcome Casper Ruud, surprise knocker of Carlos Alcaraz on his debut.

Winner 7–6(3), 6–3, in 1h25 without conceding a single break point, Zverev, who has still not lost a single set in this masters tournament, is nevertheless still not qualified for the semi‐finals.

To do this, Sascha will have to win at least one set against Carlos Alcaraz in his last group match or count on Rublev to win one against Ruud.

His duel against the Spaniard therefore promises to be thrilling while the Spaniard will almost be obliged to win to reach the last four. Everything will also depend on the scenario of the match between the Russian and the Norwegian at the same time.
