ATP – Metz > Benoît Maylin on the tense duel between Moutet and Norrie: “How did they manage not to gut each other? From the first point, they looked for each other”

We had to expect an electric semi‐final in between Corentin Moutet and Cameron Norrie, two players with fiery temperaments. And it took place, without the two men crossing the red line, despite a smashing of the Frenchman's racket, a few gestures to chamber and an angry celebration from Norrie a meter from Moutet.

“How did they manage not to gut each other? Since 1is point, they looked for each other. But no one broke down. In fact, Norrie said he loved watching Moutet play. In Metz, he beat him 6–2 7–6(5), and won his first final since Rio (February 23), where he beat Alcaraz! »underlined journalist Benoît Maylin.

In the final of the Open, Norrie will face the winner of the match between American Alex Michelsen and Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi.
