Chez Aston Martinthe new models follow one another: after the Vantagehere is already his version Roadster which has an old-fashioned canvas hood. It can reach a speed of 50 km/h in 6.8 seconds, making it the fastest in the world according to the British manufacturer. Another feat is the fact that the Roadster weighs only 60 kg more than the coupe, all with a 49/51 distribution that is very close to perfection.
Still very efficient
Under the hood, we find the same engine as the normal Vantage: it is a V8 AMG of 4.0 liters of displacement, developing 665 hp and 800 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF automatic transmission 8 gears. 0 to 100 km/h is accomplished in 3.5 seconds (i.e. 1/10 of a second more than the coupe) and the maximum speed is set at 325 km/h, as long as you have the courage to do so. in the wind!

Custom tires
To slow down the Roadster, Aston Martin has planned carbon-ceramic discs 410 mm at the front and 6-piston calipers. The car is shod with tires Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 which were specially designed for it. As standard, the Vantage Roadster comes with a 390W audio installation which includes 11 speakers. As an option, it is possible to choose the installation specifically developed by the British specialist Bowers & Wilkins. The first deliveries will begin in the second half of this year.
