Porsche is enriching its 911 range with the arrival of the Carrera S for the 2025 model year. Positioned between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera GTS, this newcomer fills the gap between the base version and the GTS T- Hybrid, performance-oriented. The Carrera S is offered in Coupe and Cabriolet versions.
Engine of the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S
The 2025 911 Carrera S is powered by a Boxer engine, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder that has been optimized to offer more power, while reducing emissions. Porsche notably installed new turbochargers and improved supercharger air cooling, drawing inspiration from the design of previous 911 Turbo models.
With its 473 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, the version offers 30 more horsepower than the previous generation, reaching performance levels previously reserved for the 911 Carrera GTS. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch (PDK) gearbox. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 3.3 seconds and the maximum speed is 308 km/h.
Optimized driving
In addition to the work done with the engine, Porsche has also improved the driving dynamics of the Carrera S. The new braking system, recognizable by its red calipers and its 408 mm discs at the front and 380 mm at the rear , promises exceptional deceleration, according to Porsche.
Different customization options are offered to improve the handling and comfort of the car, or even its aesthetics. For example, rear wheel steering and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) sports suspension, which lowers ground clearance by 10 mm, are on the menu.

The interior of the Carrera S is trimmed in black leather as standard, while the seats, dashboard and door panels are covered in smooth leather. For an even more luxurious interior, more extensive leather trim is available as an option. It notably covers the glove box lid and the side panels, with the possibility of adding contrasting chalk-colored stitching. Folding rear seats are optional with the coupe version.

The new 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S can be ordered now. Its base price is $159,700 for the coupe, $174,000 for the convertible.
