Marc Chazelle at the Espace des Métiers d’Art in Beuvron-en-Auge (Calvados), is a passionate photographer. For fifteen years, working among other things in events, he has been a privileged witness to the rise of photobooths. A device equipped with a digital camera, which allows a person to take a photo of themselves automatically, without the intervention of a photographer.
It is then that he realizes that it is often not very qualified. Whether for a private or professional event, it often stands outhe notes. While he often finds himself in exceptional places, where everything is designed to amaze his guests.
“A high-end photobooth with a vintage spirit”
This is how, and by recovering old objects here and there, that Marc Chazelle built La Tricyclette vintage photobooth. I wanted to create a high-end photobooth with a vintage feel. An elegant set that can be perfectly integrated into prestigious settings and atmospheres.
On a scooter frame, a wooden box is held in place by leather straps, specially made by Ismaël, saddler and leatherworker, based in the Pottery du Mesnil craftsmen’s village in Bavent.
On it sits an old photographic room from the 19th century.e century. Inside, Marc Chazelle has placed a digital camera. It is a full-frame Nikon D700, coupled with a powerful professional flash to adapt to all light conditions, under its umbrella. The whole thing is controlled by a computer and its 55 cm touch screen.
Accessories provided
Next to La Tricyclette a travel trunk from the 1930s contains a thermal sublimation printer. This delivers a photograph, with its personalized design, in 10×15 format in 10 seconds.
All photos captured by La Tricyclette are saved in a secure gallery, accessible using private identifiers. You will be able to download your most beautiful photos in high definition or order additional new prints as a souvenir of the event.
The Tricycle is accompanied by a professional facilitator with a retro look, guaranteeing smooth and user-friendly use.
Several elegant accessories are offered to guests, such as a clac hat or copper kepis and wind instruments. I am available for all events lasting 3 hours, in a private or professional setting, indoors or outdoors.
