Xiaomi’s new Redmi Buds 6 and Buds 6 Pro wireless headphones arrive on the French market with advanced audio features and improved active noise reduction.
After an official presentation in China at the end of last year, the two new pairs of Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 and Redmi Buds 6 headphones are finally available here. Recall that the Redmi Buds 6 Pro adopt a triple transducer configuration, integrating two 6.7mm PZT tweeters and an 11mm dynamic driver with titanium diaphragm. This configuration allows, depending on the brand, a more precise reproduction of the different sound frequencies.
The standard Redmi Buds 6 model retains a dual-driver configuration, combining a 12.4mm dynamic driver with a titanium membrane and a 5.5mm PZT tweeter.

Both versions support spatial audio, with head tracking on the Pro model. The Pro version also stands out for its Hi-Res Audio certification and its compatibility with the LDAC codec, while the standard model is limited to AAC and SBC codecs.
Optimized noise reduction performance
Active noise reduction now reaches 55 dB on the Redmi Buds 6 Pro, compared to 49 dB for the standard model. The Pro benefits from extended coverage up to 4 kHz, allowing better attenuation of mid-range and high-pitched noise. Both versions also include a three-level transparency mode and wind noise reduction, up to 12 m/s for the Pro and 9 m/s for the standard.
-According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Buds 6 offer a total battery life of 42 hours with the charging case, for 10 hours of continuous listening on a single charge. The Pro model offers 36 hours of total battery life and 9.5 hours of continuous listening, always when charged once. Note that both versions support fast charging via USB-C and multi-point connection.
Bluetooth connectivity has been updated, with version 5.4 for the standard Buds 6 and 5.3 for the Pro. During the official launch, Xiaomi also presented a Gaming Edition version of the Pro, delivered one dongle USB-C to reduce latency like the SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds, for example. However, this does not seem (yet?) available from us.
Availability and price of Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 and Redmi Buds 6 Pro headphones
The Redmi Buds 6 and Redmi Buds 6 Pro are now available in France, at 49.99 euros and 79.99 euros respectively. The headphones are available in several colors: white, black or green for the standard model, while the Pro version is available in black, white or purple.
