Given the lack of moderation and fact-checking on the platform, we have decided to withdraw from X, formerly Twitter.

Dear readers, dear readers,

watson decided to leave. From 11 a.m. this Friday, we will stop publishing our content on the platform. As a media, our ambition is to contribute to the political and societal debate. But so that discussions can be constructive, so that they can lead to compromises or solutions, it is essential that the facts are not constantly called into question.

Today, some populist actors and conspiracy theory enthusiasts are using a proven strategy: undermining democratic debate by deliberately denying reality. For several months, the X platform (formerly Twitter) has increasingly reduced its efforts to guarantee a solid factual basis.

Faced with this lack of moderation and fact-checking, Watson made the decision to no longer publish content on X.

This doesn’t mean we’re completely abandoning the Twitter ecosystem. Of course, you can always share our articles there, if you wish. For our part, we will continue to use relevant publications on X as part of our journalistic work.

We hope to see many of you on our applications and on our other social networks.
