LG unveils a futuristic vehicle that carries all the home automation of a house

An unmissable global tech event, the CES – Consumer Electronics Show – is preparing to reopen its doors from January 7 to 10, 2025 in Las Vegas. With 57 editions, this year should bring together 4,300 exhibitors, more than 1,200 start-ups and nearly 138,000 visitors. Among the big regulars at the show, the South Korean electronics giant LG, which is starting the year off to a flying start with an innovation in the field of mobility. Its concept: a “Lifestyle Solution for Mobility” vehicle which embeds its Mobility Experience (MX) platform.

Presenting this as a “revolutionary mobility space solution“, the vehicle – which looks like a converted van – integrates a complete suite of home automation solutions for the home with the aim of “create a seamless connection between mobility and home AI“LG aims here to create a new type of space.”versatile and multifaceted“.

A living space inside the vehicle

Concretely, the MX platform is made up of two spaces: a driver’s cabin at the front and a customizable experience space at the rear. Users can configure this versatile space in different ways, such as dividing it into multifunctional zones with all the devices users need, so that it functions as an extension of the home, a private media lounge or a creative studio.

Behind this platform, LG relies on its ThinQ ON technology, powered by artificial intelligence. The latter’s work consists of connecting all IoT household appliances to a single application in order to control everything and automate uses. LG thinks big and even suggests its users integrate additional services from external providers, including food and drink ordering, laundry and hotel reservation, always with the same goal: to expand and enrich further user experience.

Although no marketing date has been given, LG is moving forward with the distribution format: it plans to offer the MX platform as a subscription service.
