A new leak from a Japanese site popular with G-Shock enthusiasts – Great G-Shock World – has revealed details about two upcoming Casio models: the GM-2100YM-8A and GM-5600YM-8. These models, which feature a metal-inspired aesthetic, are expected to launch in January, alongside the recently leaked GA-010 and GD-010 series.

The GM-2100YM-8A takes the design of the octagonal bezel from the 2100 series, known for its modern and minimalist style. Based on the leaked images, it appears to feature a polished silver-tone metal case paired with a lightweight resin strap for durability and comfort. If it sticks to the series’ usual specs, it could include a robust solar charging system, 200m water resistance, and world time. The leak also lists a price of ¥40,150 (~$255) for the aforementioned watch.

The GM-5600YM-8 takes the classic 5600 design, square in shape, with a similar aesthetic in metallic silver. This model, priced just under ¥37,400 (~$237), will more than likely be aimed at fans of the iconic design, potentially including features like a fully automatic calendar, LED backlighting, and multifunction alarms.

These two models continue Casio’s recent efforts to incorporate metal designs into resin watches, as evidenced by previous models such as the GM-B2100D-1A which featured an all-metal construction for the 2100 series, and the GM-5600SN-1 which featured an iridescent metal bezel combined with a resin strap.

As all these details are based on leaks, an official confirmation from Casio is still awaited. Further updates are expected closer to the rumored launch date.
