Metacritic brings together the notes from the specialized press, which is a good way to sort between good and bad video games. Like every year, the site draws up the Top 10 worst games of the year, it's The Lord of the Rings: Gollum who had the honors in 2023, here is now the worst video games of 2024.
Unlike last year, there are not many big games that were highly anticipated by players, but still quite a few titles from cult licenses. Metal Slug, Transformers, Stranger Things, Jujutsu Kaisen and even Devil May Cry are in this Top 10with games that clearly failed to appeal to testers. Here are the worst video games of 2024, according to the ratings of Metacritic :

- #1: Utopia City (PC) – 23/100.
But who is this Utopia Citywhich boasts a magnificent average of 4.6/20? Well it's abouta first-person shooter game developed by Parallax Arts Studio in… 2006only in Europe. Although the studio closed three years later, Utopia City was released in 2024 in North America, via Steam. The title has obviously aged very badly, it was already not very good at the time. THE Metascore is also based on tests carried out in 2006, a year marked by the releases of Half-Life 2: Episode One, Prey, Call of Duty 3, Resistance: Fall on Man, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Call of Juarez, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, SWAT 4 or even Red Orchestra: Eastern Front 41-45to name only FPS. Needless to say, everyone had already forgotten Utopia City 19 years ago (the old-fashioned touch is offered to you by the house).
