Vivo has officially unveiled its new budget smartphone Vivo Y200+ 5G in the Chinese market.
Here’s what we know
The device features a 6.68-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1608, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The smartphone is certified by TÜV Rheinland for blue light reduction and DC global dimming, which reduces screen flickering.
The Vivo Y200 Plus 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage in the maximum configuration. The Vivo Y200 Plus 5G also supports MicroSD memory cards.

For photography, the smartphone has a dual camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel portrait camera for selfies. The Vivo Y200+ 5G also stands out with its 6,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging to reach 50% charge in just 36 minutes.
Despite its large battery, the device features a slim, ergonomic design with a thickness of just 7.99mm and IP64 certification for protection against dust and splashing water. The smartphone is equipped with Funtouch OS, 5G and dual stereo speakers.
The smartphone will be available in three colors – Apricot Sea, Sky City and Midnight Black – and three memory configurations – 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB. Prices in China range from 150 dollars for the model base at 205 dollars for the most expensive model.
