“It is with infinite sadness that I announce the departure of Pascal Hervé, the man who illuminated my life and marked that of so many others. In recent months, Pascal courageously faced a devastating illness that quickly weakened his body, but never his mind or his heart. After a week of fighting as only he knew how, he decided to go cycling to other summits. After all, it had been a few months since he had done his classic kilo Pascal… We like to believe that he left with his head and heart filled with images of mountains and steep passes as he cherished. At 60, he left far too early, when he still had so much to offer and a future opened up before him that he wanted to reinvent.
We would like everyone who wishes to pay him a final tribute – those who knew him, loved him and shared moments with him – to take this moment to say their goodbyes. Your presence, your memories, your laughter or your tears about him will be the most beautiful testimonies of what he left in each of us. Joining me in mourning will be Adrien, his son, Julie, his daughter, Laura-Marie, his youngest, Michelle and Jean-Pierre, his parents, Nicolas, his brother, and of course all those whose lives have been touched by the light, the generosity and the humanity of Pascal, this exceptional being. With all my love, Caroline“
