Intel’s new mobile processor, the Core Ultra 9 275HX, is making waves on Geekbench, offering a glimpse of expected performance. Currently, Intel is focused on developing its mobile versions of the Arrow Lake series, scheduled for launch in early 2025.
Features of the Core Ultra 9 275HX: 24 cores and a boost frequency of 5.3 GHz
Intel recently introduced its Arrow Lake processors for desktop computers, ushering in a new era. For laptops, two series are in preparation: Core Ultra 200H and Core Ultra 200HX. Although several references from the first series have leaked, the 200HX models still remain largely unknown.
A high-end model from the Arrow Lake-HX series has been tested on Geekbench. This attests to Intel’s ambitions in terms of high-performance laptops. An example was provided by the Razer Blade 18whose graphics performance was tested via the GeForce RTX 4090, although CPU scores are currently nowhere to be found.
On the system information page, the specifications of the Core Ultra 9 275HX are revealed. It is one of the most powerful models in the Ultra 200HX range, just behind the Core Ultra 9 285HX. The processor is equipped with 24 heartsdivided into 8 performance cores and 16 efficient cores.
Arrow Lake processors do not incorporate hyperthreading, and thus, the 275HX operates with a configuration of 24 cores for 24 threads, having a slightly lower operating frequency than the 285HX. The model displays a base frequency of 2,7 GHz and can reach a maximum of 5,3 GHz (5286 MHz precisely).

As for the Core Ultra 9 285HX, it should reach a maximum frequency of 5,5 GHz. Features including 36 Mo L3 cacheotherwise remain the same. Thermal design information (TDP) for this model is not yet available on the benchmark page. That mentioned, the confirmed configuration corresponds to previous rumors.
By default, the 275HX will be equipped with an integrated graphics solution based on the Xe-LPG architecture with 64 execution units and a frequency of 2000 MHz. Laptops incorporating these high-end processors will also benefit from powerful dedicated graphics cards such as GeForce RTX 4090 or NVIDIA’s future RTX 5000 series.
Arrow Lake-HX Series Forecast
The official presentation of the Arrow Lake-HX range by Intel is planned during the CES 2025 keynote, which is scheduled to take place on January 6. Observers are eagerly awaiting more details on these promising products, which could transform the computer hardware landscape, particularly for users of high-end laptops.
