A recent leak on the next Nvidia GPUs promises a small “revolution” with the arrival of “neural rendering”, a mysterious technology which will be announced next January by the firm.

Nvidia’s upcoming graphics cards have now been leaked almost every day for the past two weeks. The GeForce RTX 5000 will be unveiled at CES in Las Vegas on January 6, 2025 and we already know a lot about these next GPUs.

Some leaks come in particular from Nvidia partners who are disseminating information on this new range on their websites ahead of CES. This was the case yesterday from Zotac with an almost complete listing of the RTX 5000, and it is now Inno3D’s turn to release some information.

In a news article on its website, Inno3D detailed its announcement schedule for CES in Las Vegas. The manufacturer notably mentioned without too much detail the AI ​​functionalities expected from Nvidia for the show. If this list has since been deleted by Inno3D, it has been immortalized by our colleagues at The Verge.

On the program, we can therefore expect a “ advanced DLSS technology “promising” better image quality and higher frame rate per second » as well as a “ improved ray tracing“. So far, nothing surprising.

But the listing then mentions “neural rendering” capabilities which promise to “ revolutionize the way graphics are processed and displayed« . Ce neural rendering has been a sea serpent at Nvidia for over a year, while such technology was both mentioned by Bryan Catanzaro (DLSS manager) and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huan.

The subject has been approached from different angles by Nvidia. That of developers, who could then exploit generative AI in order to save time during the graphics rendering stage. Last September, Huan spoke about the use of AI to generate high-quality objects and textures for games, as it is already possible to do with its RTX Remix tool.

Nvidia has a whole section of its research dedicated to neural rendering. Last July, the firm unveiled a technology making it possible to reproduce a real object in 3D down to the smallest details for minimal calculation time. But here, we are still talking about tools available to developers when creating their graphic assets.

How does Nvidia intend to integrate such technology on the player side? Will this aim to improve the graphic quality of our games universally? We can expect graphics rendering to rely in part on Tensor cores when this feature is enabled, but we remain in the realm of pure speculation.
