The Blood of Dawnwalker: the AAA RPG from The Witcher veterans will be revealed soon | Xbox

At the very beginning of the year, the Rebel Wolves studio lifted the veil on Dawnwalker, a “new AAA dark fantasy narrative saga for PC and next-gen consoles”. If there is reason to be particularly intrigued, it is in particular because the studio was founded by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who had served as game director on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its expansions, then as director of design on Cyberpunk 2077. Today, Rebel Wolves takes the floor to announce the name of its first game and set a meeting.

Revel Wolves formalizes the name of the first game in the Dawnwalker saga

It won't be long before The Blood of Dawnwalker is revealed. Indeed, Rebel Wolves will broadcast this January 13, at 8 p.m. time, a trailer on Twitch for the first game in its saga of “heroic fantasy action-RPG game in open world, for a single player, which highlights emphasis on history and storytelling.”

In the past, Revel Wolves had said that it wanted to “evolve the RPG genre by creating unforgettable stories and arousing deep emotions, while working within a cohesive team united by a goal is a common ambition”.

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz also specified in 2022 that this new studio in which many CD Projekt veterans work must be “a place where experienced game developers can rekindle their passion, where they can concentrate on their work and pour their love into a surprising and ambitious title.

Thus, Rebel Wolves aims to “create memorable games, tell moving stories and arouse visceral emotions”, notably with this first AAA RPG developed under Unreal Engine 5 and planned for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

The game would not be as “gigantic” as The Witcher 3, but would potentially offer more quests, and a scope similar to that of the Blood & Wine expansion.

It would be an offline single-player game, with no microtransactions, no platform-exclusive items or quests. In 2022, it was specified that the game was planned for 2025. It remains to be seen if this is still the case!

To keep us waiting, Rebel Wolves shared a little teaser. Remember also that the game is published by Bandai Namco.
