Honor has just unveiled its new Select LCHSE earphones, a new product in the earphone market with an innovative design. This announcement comes a few months after the launch of Huawei’s FreeClip, which opted for a similar design.
The Select LCHSE are distinguished by their unique design, inspired by traditional Chinese arch bridges. The central element is made of titanium alloy, offering strength and lightness. Each earbud weighs just 5.1 grams and is available in two colors: Phantom Black and Monet Violet.
The structure includes an arched bridge that connects the main housing to a “comfort bean,” a discreet protrusion positioned behind the ear. The case is protected by scratch-resistant PC material, ensuring durability and lightness.
What technical sheet for Honor’s Select LCHSE headphones?
On the technical side, the headphones integrate a 10.8 mm dynamic transducer with a PEEK+PEN titanium diaphragm. Honor has also implemented directional sound transmission technology to limit audio leakage. Features include dynamic bass boost and spatial audio.
To guarantee optimal call quality, LCHSEs are equipped with two high-sensitivity microphonescoupled with a Noise reduction algorithm based on a deep neural network (DNN).
The headphones benefit from IP54 certification against dust and splashes. The announced autonomy is 7 hours per charge, extended to 36 hours with charging case. Multi-device connection and a low latency mode round out the features.
The strong point of these headphones lies in their price: 399 yuan (around 52 euros)which is considerably less than Huawei’s FreeClip sold at 1299 yuan (around 169 euros). In France, these were launched at 199 euros. For the moment, the Honor Select LCHSE are only available in China, with no international marketing announcement.
This aggressive pricing strategy could well allow Honor to position itself as a major player in the market for innovative headphones, while making this type of design accessible to a wider audience.
