In China, Xiaomi launches its Redmi Buds 6 Pro and its little brothers

The Xiaomi brand has just announced the launch of several new headphones from the Redmi Buds 6 series. There is something for everyone.

At its last conference in China, Xiaomi presented a complete series of new headphones. These are the Redmi Buds 6, particularly affordable models which succeed the Redmi Buds 5. The brand thus offers the Redmi Buds 6 Pro, the Redmi Buds 6, the Redmi Buds 6S. They are in addition to the Redmi Buds 6 Play, Redmi Buds 6 Lite and Redmi Buds 6 Active already available in .

The Redmi Buds 6 Pro headphones are models with 3 drivers for the three low, mid and low frequencies. They are installed in a coaxial configuration and are partly made of ceramic for the most precise response. The Redmi Buds 6 Pro provide dynamic head tracking allowing you to enjoy spatial audio for an immersive experience.

Xiaomi announces a noise reduction function of up to 55 dB with a transparent mode to listen to conversations while enjoying music. In addition, they can ensure wind noise limitation of up to 12 m/s, depending on the brand, thanks to the presence of three integrated microphones. The headphones are Bluetooth AAC, SBC and LHDC high definition compatible.

Xiaomi announces a battery life of 36 hours with the case. On a single charge, the earbuds could work for a maximum of 9.5 hours, depending on the brand with ANC turned off. A special version of the Redmi Buds 6 Pro (black and orange case) is offered with a dongle USB-C for low latency.

The new Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 Pro headphones are available in white, black, green for a price of 399 yuan or black/orange (version with dongle USB-C) for 499 yuan.

Redmi Buds 6 with very long battery life

The Redmi Buds 6 have two transducers, including a titanium unit. They are offered in black, white or pale green.

They weigh 5 grams and are Bluetooth 5.4 compatible, supporting AAC and SBC codecs. The Spatial Audio function is required and Xiaomi promises a powerful noise function (up to 49 dB) as well as wind cutoff of up to 9 m/s. The brand specifies that their autonomy is 42 hours maximum with the case and up to 10 hours for the headphones with a single charge. The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 headphones are announced at a price of 199 yuan.

Des Redmi Buds 6S au format semi-intra

The Redmi Buds 6S headphones are offered at the same price. These are button or semi-intra models, without tip, like Apple AirPods 4. They are available in black, white or pale blue. They weigh 3.9 grams and support AAC and SBC codecs in Bluetooth 5.3.

They feature a single 14.2mm wide amplitude transducer and provide noise reduction and wind limitation through dual microphones. They support Spatial Audio for more immersive music. Xiaomi announces a battery life of up to 7 hours on a single charge and up to 33 hours with the case.

The other Redmi Buds 6

Remember that the Redmi Buds 6 Lite headphones are available in black, white or pale blue. They are Bluetooth 5.3 compatible with AAC and SBC codecs. Count on a weight of 4.2 grams per earphone. These models are in-ear type with tip for passive isolation. Active noise reduction is also provided (up to 40dB, depending on the brand). They carry a 12.4 mm diameter transducer.

For these headphones, Xiaomi promises a battery life of 7 hours on a single charge and up to 38 hours with the case.

The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 Lite headphones are available at a price of 30 euros.

The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 Active headphones are already available. These are button or semi-intra type models, without tip. They are available in black, white or pale blue. They are equipped with a single 14.2 mm diameter transducer and offer several preset listening modes. They can reduce wind noise for clear conversations, up to 4 m/s, depending on the brand.

They weigh 4 grams per earphone and are of course Bluetooth compatible, version 5.4 with support for AAC and SBC codecs. Xiaomi promises battery life of up to 6 hours on a single charge and up to 30 hours with the case. The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 Active are available for a price of around 40 euros.

Finally, to complete this series, Xiaomi also offers the Redmi Buds 6 Play. Available for only around 11 euros, they are particularly compact and still offer a battery life of 36 hours with the case. They rely on a single 10mm driver and weigh just 3.6 grams per earbud.

They have a tip to ensure passive insulation. At this price, no active noise reduction but still audio processing for calls. Control of devices is carried out via touch controls.
