According to visuals published by the Android Headlines site, in collaboration with OnLeaks, the future mid-range smartphone Samsung Galaxy A56 adopts an aesthetic approach that differentiates itself from its predecessor, the Galaxy A55. Indeed, the rear photo module abandons the separate island design to adopt a single pill-shaped block, integrating three sensors and an LED flash. At the front, the flat screen is punched in the center for the front camera, with refined borders, although the lower bezel remains slightly thicker.

Like the Galaxy A55, the upcoming model sports flat edges across its entire chassis, with the exception of a distinctive feature on the right side. This area, called “Key Island”, has an elevation housing the volume and power buttons, making them easier to locate by touch.

Technical performance revised upwards

If rumors are to be believed, the smartphone will be powered by the Exynos 1580 processor, accompanied by an Xclipse 540 graphics chip based on the RDNA-3 architecture. The basic version should have 8 GB of RAM, with potentially a variation of 12 GB. Remember that the Galaxy A56 has already passed the Geekbench performance measurement application.

One of the major improvements concerns fast charging, which increases to 45W, double that of its predecessor. This development places the Galaxy A56 at the level of the brand’s high-end models.

In addition, the main photo module retains its three-sensor configuration (50+12+50 megapixels), but it is at the level of the front camera that the evolution is the most notable. The 32-megapixel selfie sensor promises superior image quality for self-portraits and video calls.

Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy A56 during the first quarter of 2025, following the usual A series release cycle. The price is expected to be between 450 and 500 euros. The device would also benefit from an extensive update policy, with six years of support for the Android operating system and security patches.
