Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup reportedly includes only two models: Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra

Contrary to early rumors, Samsung will not be launching the Galaxy Tab S10 series at the July 10 Galaxy Unpacked event. A report from South Korean media outlet JoongAng suggests that mass production will begin this month, but does not specify a release date, which is expected to be at the end of the year. It also reveals that the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup will only include two stock units.

Apparently, Samsung is removing the base version of the Galaxy Tab S10 to better compete with Apple’s recently announced iPad Pros. This will also contribute to Samsung’s aggressive cost-cutting effort, at the expense of an entry-level unit. It’s going to be a tough battle, given that the Galaxy Tab S10+ has been spotted with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC from MediaTek. Even though the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra uses a high-end Galaxy Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, it will still fight against the objectively superior version of the Apple M4.

An earlier leak revealed that only two Samsung tablets codenamed SM-X926 (likely the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra) and SM-X826 (Galaxy Tab S10+) were undergoing certification, which confirms the above rumor. Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra renders didn’t show many design changes, with improvements expected to come in the form of new software features via One UI 6.1.1. In conclusion, the Galaxy Tab S9 will likely be the last of its kind. Luckily, you can pick it up at a discount on Amazon before supplies run out.
