Entering cocaine has Koungheul
It’s a spectacular seizure. Agents of the Mobile Customs Brigade intercepted Koungheul 210 plates of cocaine pure, weighing 235 kg, concealed in a vehicle coming from a country bordering Senegal.
The announcement was made in a press release published Monday, November 25, 2024, by the communications and public relations department of the General Directorate of Customs of Senegal.
The value estimated at 18.8 billion CFA francs, a record in the fight against drug trafficking in Senegal.
According to customs, a thorough check of the vehicle’s bodywork revealed, between the chassis and the dumpster, a hiding place in which the seized drug packets were hidden.
The driver, identified as a foreign national, was immediately arrested and detained.
The Customs Administration has “reaffirmed its determination to combat transnational organized crime (TOC), particularly international drug trafficking”.
