On June 15, the Givry Rugby Club celebrated its 50th anniversary!

The return in pictures with Info Chalon.

And we can say that the Givrotin club had done things in a big way!

In the morning, a fair was organized for the club school.

In total, around twenty budding young rugby players had a great time in the various workshops planned for the occasion.

A rugby school with around thirty members ranging from babies to U14s.

At the end of the morning, there will be speeches from the various personalities present for this great anniversary.

It was also an opportunity for Christophe Hennecard, the club’s president, to salute the club’s excellent results this season:

*the title of Vice-champion Burgundy Franche Comté (BFC) des U16

*the title of champion BFC U19

*the title of champion BFC seniors, a title which assures them a rise to R2 next year

After a well-deserved aperitif in a friendly atmosphere true to the club, two friendly matches were played on the grounds of rue de sauge in Givry.

At 2:30 p.m., the U19s of the Chagny/Givry/Cheilly/Couches alliance met Arbresle Rugby (69).

Then at 4:30 p.m., it was the Givry-Cheilly seniors who also played against the Arbresle senior team.

Two victories for the Givrotins to the great delight of their public who came in large numbers to encourage them.

This beautiful birthday day ended with a meal with music for 300 guests where the good mood was present until the end of the night and even until the early hours for some!
