A GPU part that AMD calls Radeon 860M that we will not find on the smallest Ryzen AI 300, the Ryzen AI 5 340. It should be significantly less powerful than the rest of the range.
In fact, we are talking here about a chip with only 6 cores without specifying their Zen 5/Zen 5c distribution. For the graphics part, we are talking about a Radeon 840M with half as many RDNA 3.5 cores, so there are only 4 left to ensure this graphics part and it is precisely this “little guy” who was the subject of 'a leak on the GeekBench bases.
A leak relayed by our colleagues from VideoCardz and which features an ASUS platform on which a prototype of Ryzen AI 5 340 has been placed: it is clearly indicated “ engineering sample “, but the number of cores matches the details linked to this processor. A processor detected as having two clusters of three cores each: perhaps a Zen 5 cluster and a Zen 5c?
No score linked to this leak which however allows us to notice a base frequency set at 2 GHz, like what we can obtain on the Ryzen AI 300 Strix Point. We could therefore consider a boost frequency of 4 GHz, or even 4.6/4.8 GHz on a single core.
