For the end-of-year holidays, and a few days before Black Friday, Amazon returns with great fanfare to seduce consumers by announcing two new Echo Show connected screens. There is an updated 15-inch version, but above all an additional version equipped with a 21-inch panel.

With this generation, the online commerce giant first promises notable improvements for its smaller diagonal in terms of audio. Amazon is talking in particular about twice the bass and technology for adapting the sound according to the topography of the room.
But that's not all, video calls are clearly better quality thanks to the addition of a new 1080p auto-framing front camera, with “more than double the field of view and 65% more zoom compared to to the first generation Echo Show 15”. As a bonus, Amazon is introducing an ambient noise reduction function to best transmit the user's voice.
The version with a 21-inch panel provides nothing more than a larger display area. This can still prove to be an essential comfort of use for some, and above all more practical for viewing the various widgets or consuming content thanks to the integrated Fire TV.
Home automation is obviously at the center of the Echo Show. Still acting as a Thread, Zigbee and Matter hub, Amazon's connected screens are perfect for managing the various connected devices at home. Please note, Amazon has made an effort in terms of connectivity by switching to WiFi 6E technology, which is more efficient and faster.
The Echo Show 15 and Echo Show 21 are already available at a price of €329.99 and €439.99 respectively. A wall mount is included with these, while an adjustable stand is sold separately for €109.99. Added to this is an exclusive accessory to personalize the Echo Show 21: a frame available in black or white for €39.99.
This launch is not insignificant for Amazon. In addition to arriving at the best period (promotion and end-of-year holidays), Jeff Bezos' firm is ahead of Apple, which is preparing to market its first connected screen at the start of 2025.
