a unique immersive exhibition on the irreducible Gauls soon at the Atelier des Lumières

Be careful, the abuse of magic potions is dangerous for your health… After “Tintin, the immersive adventure”, the Atelier des Lumières (Paris, 11th arrondissement) will soon highlight another great star of comics. From October 18, 2024 to January 5, 2025, the digital art center will host “Asterix, the immersive journey”. This unique immersive exhibition will be the result of the association between Albert René Editions, which manage the rights of the two authors of the legendary comic strip, and Culturespaces. It is part of the year of celebrations around the diehard Gauls who are celebrating their 65th birthday.

In search of the druid Panoramix

In this creation designed for the Atelier des Lumières, visitors will accompany the Gauls in search of the druid Panoramix captured by Julius Caesar. They will thus cross the green plains of Gaul, the arid landscapes of Hispania and will pass through the misty lands of Great Britain and the pyramids of Egypt. Perhaps we will have the chance to find Falbala, Abraracourcix, Bonemine, Assurancetourix, Cleopatra and, obviously, Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix? The public will be transported to the heart of the Asterix albums, respecting the legacy of screenwriter René Goscinny (1926-1977) and designer Albert Uderzo (1927-2020), creators of the original comic book series. The opportunity to delve into the details of the original drawings to (re)discover the history and timeless humor of Asterix.

A unique exhibition on Idéfix

During this year of celebration around the little Gaul, the Grévin museum will pay tribute to the heroes of the comic strip by installing a scene of Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix sending a Roman flying, from October 29, 2024. Many special editions are planned to celebrate this anniversary. Last January, a new version and a luxury edition of the album Asterix the gallic were released, while cult titles like Asterix at the Olympic Games, Asterix, the Land of the Gods et Asterix among the Belgians were reissued at the beginning of June in a special luxury 65th anniversary edition.

From December 9, 2024 to March 9, 2025, the Belgian Comic Strip Center in Brussels will pay tribute to Obélix’s faithful companion in “Idéfix et Cie, the great story of a little dog”. The unique exhibition will notably present original plates and reproductions to retrace the adventures of the most famous Gallic canid.

The little Prince in Bordeaux

When Paris celebrates the world of Asterix and Obélix, Bordeaux will pay homage to the poetic universe of Little Prince (1943). Culturespaces and the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Estate are preparing a new creation designed for the Bassins des Lumières. The watercolors and words of Saint-Exupéry will come to life on the floors and walls of the former submarine base to transport us “ in a world where imagination has no limits », Specifies the digital art center in a press release.
