Through the use of Midjourney, a very efficient AI in terms of image generation, we can create very beautiful wallpapers. From dreamlike landscapes to futuristic abstractions, including reinterpretations of artistic classics, the idea of this project is to cover a wide spectrum of styles and themes.

Getting started with Midjourney
Midjourney works primarily through Discord. Here’s how to get started:
Understanding prompts
A prompt is a text description of the image you want to create. For effective smartphone wallpapers, here are a few things to include:
- Style: Specify the artistic style (e.g. minimalist, abstract, realistic)
- Subject: Describe the main subject of your image
- Colors: Mention the desired color palette
- Composition: Indicate the arrangement of the elements
- Atmosphere: Describe the general atmosphere
Optimize for smartphones
To create smartphone-friendly wallpapers, add these elements to your prompts:
- “vertical composition”: for a portrait orientation
- “phone wallpaper”: to indicate the intended use
- “high contrast”: for better readability on screen
- “dark background” or “light background”: depending on your preferences
- Use “–ar 9:16” at the end of your prompt for a smartphone-friendly aspect ratio
- Add “–q 2” for higher quality (be careful, this consumes more credits)
- Experiment with “–stylize” followed by a number between 0 and 1000 to adjust the style

Change your wallpaper
Changing your smartphone wallpaper is a quick and easy way to give it a new look. This gesture can not only freshen up the look of your device, but also reflect your moods, tastes or passions of the moment. Whether you are on Android or iOS, the process is easy to follow.
For Android users
The first step is to go to your device settings. Once in the settings, select “Display” or “Wallpaper” depending on your phone model. Next, click “Choose a new wallpaper” or “Wallpapers”.
Adjust the image by moving or zooming, then choose whether you want to apply it to the Home screen, the Lock screen, or both. For a detailed guide, see our article: how to change wallpaper on Android.
For iOS (iPhone) users
To change the wallpaper on iPhone, open the “Settings” app and go to “Wallpaper”. Click “Choose a new wallpaper” to browse your photos.
