For the occasion, Huawei orchestrated an extraordinary fashion show. Models and local influencers walked the catwalk, proudly holding the new smartphones in their hands. The parade perfectly illustrated the elegance and innovation of the devices, combining haute couture and cutting-edge technology. Guests were able to appreciate not only the beauty of the phones but also their exceptional functionality in a glamorous setting. The magnificent outfits were by African Marquis and once again, the couturier-stylist Gabriel Froid delivered a high-quality parade.
Joël L’Étourdi, marketing manager at Huawei Mauritius, presented these new phones by focusing on their strong points. He said Huawei’s Pura 70 series introduces revolutionary features, which redefine the standard of high-end smartphones. The Pura 70 Ultra, inspired by the reflection of twinkling lights on the French Seine River, features a vegan leather back panel with an embossed star pattern and a subtle checkered texture. This design is complemented by the XMAGE label on the camera, framed in red, adding a touch of sophisticated elegance.

The Pura 70 Ultra sets itself apart Ultra Lighting Pop-out Camera innovative. With a one-inch sensor and a wide F1.6 aperture, this camera captures an exceptional amount of light, delivering photos with impressive clarity and precision. The camera automatically extends when shooting, maximizing internal space to accommodate this advanced sensor, while maintaining a remarkable thinness of just 8.4mm. Technology Ultra Speed Snapshot, integrated into the main cameras and the telephoto lens, can capture fast-moving subjects with incredible clarity. Whether it’s a car speeding at 300 km/h, a badminton shuttlecock in mid-flight or a playful pet, every moment is immortalized with unprecedented precision.
The Pura 70 and Pura 70 Ultra are built to last. The Pura 70 is equipped with super durable glass Kunlun Glass, reinforced for 100% increased strength. The Pura 70 Ultra goes even further with the Crystal Armor Kunlun Glass, combining scratch resistance and improved durability thanks to an innovative amorphous diamond carbon material. In terms of performance, the Pura 70 series also excels. The Pura 70 Ultra, with its 5,200 mAh battery, supports SuperCharge HUAWEI wired at 100 W and wireless at 80 W, allowing ultra-fast charging. The Pura 70, with a 4,900 mAh battery, also offers impressive fast charging options, wired at 66W and wireless at 50W.
The Pura 70 series features the new EMUI 14.2, providing an enriched, intuitive and secure user experience. Features like AI Gesture Control and AI Privacy View provide added convenience and protection, making every interaction with the phone smooth and secure.
Both models will be available for pre-order starting June 21, 2024. The Pura 70 is priced at Rs 39,999, while the Pura 70 Ultra is at Rs 68,999. Until June 27, each pre-order includes a Huawei Watch GT3 d worth Rs 13,999, offered as a gift, adding even more value to this already attractive purchase.
