The Galaxy S25s have not finished making headlines. While the announcement date has just been clarified, a crucial element of their technical sheet now seems to be unanimous: the processor.
The last few weeks have indeed had a lot to do with this element. Some thought that Samsung would exclusively choose the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for all models of this generation, while others mentioned a new SoC from the South Korean firm, the Exynos 2 500, for the Galaxy S25 and S25+.

We were also treated to performance tests of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25+ which rather evoked this second possibility, offering without much surprise more performance for the premium model.
Finally, the informants agree on the scenario chosen by Samsung. The famous leaker Ice Universe in fact shared this November 13, 2024 on Twitter/X that the Snapdragon 8 Elite would be there on all Galaxy S25 smartphones.
A statement that was corroborated by another well-known informant, Yogesh Brar. “The entire range is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite (the Exynos 2500 needs more time to be ready),” he said this Thursday on Elon Musk’s social network.
All of this is very good news for us Europeans, who are usually entitled to the Exynos versions for the Galaxy S and Galaxy+, less powerful than their Snapdragon counterparts.
