The OnePlus Ace 5 series is expected to feature two new phones. One of them is said to be equipped with the latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Pro variant is expected to compete with the more affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship. Digital Chat Station, a popular Weibo site, previously shared some possible specifications of the non-Pro device, which will likely be launched in the global market as OnePlus 13R.

Today, the famous leaker shared more details about the phones in the range. The Ace 5 series is said to feature an upright display, like the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship phones. The Weibo tipster adds that the battery capacity should be between 6,200 mAh and 6,300 mAh.

For comparison, the OnePlus 13 launched with a 6,000mAh battery, the highest capacity in the company’s global portfolio so far. The Ace 5, or OnePlus 13R, could therefore go a little further. As we said earlier, this high-capacity battery will be paired with 100W fast charging support (140W Anker 737 power bank curr. $106.48 on Amazon).

While all of these are premium, the spec that isn’t so premium is the fingerprint scanner. As Digital Chat Station recently shared, the Ace 5 series will come with an optical fingerprint sensor, while the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Elite phones already come with an ultrasonic sensor https://www.trustedreviews .com/explainer/what-is-an-ultrasonic-fingerprint-sensor-4241284.

On the other hand, the Ace 5 Pro, which could be launched as the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite, is said to be equipped with a capable camera with the same processing algorithm as the Find X8 series. The latest leak also indicates that this new series could launch in China in December.
