Tik Tok launches polyglot AI clones for advertising

TikTok has just announced the Symphony Digital Avatars, which are human-looking characters generated by artificial intelligence. These clones are part of the platform’s new solutions, which are intended for creators. In its newsroom, the Chinese social network shares:

After unveiling Symphony, the suite of TikTok advertising solutions powered by Generative Artificial Intelligence, TikTok today presents Symphony Digital Avatars, an AI solution dedicated to dubbing international campaigns, and Symphony Collective, to help creators and brands to produce TikTok content that makes a difference.

Trained with professional actors

These AI avatars intended to promote various things on TikTok have been trained to reproduce a wide variety of gestures and facial expressions copied from professional actors around the world. This allows AI characters to not be limited to one culture and adapt to everyone. We imagine thatan avatar aimed at the Italian market will probably be more expressive than one aimed at GermanyFor example.

Brands and creators will have the choice between two types of avatars to humanize their promotional campaigns and distribute them around the world. First there are the Stock Avatars, which are pre-produced using actors. These are the ones mentioned just above.

Otherwise, TikTok offers Custom avatarswhich as their name suggests, can be adapted to the creator’s needs, and the image of the brand. They may also include intellectual property.

Selon TikTok :

Creating advertising content dedicated to TikTok increases purchase intent by +37% and brand preference by +38%. Additionally, 79% of TikTok users have a preference for brands that demonstrate a clear understanding of how to create content specifically for the platform.

Emphasis on “empowerment of creators”

TikTok wants this new service to be developed in collaboration with all the stakeholders affected by these avatars. To do this, she created an Advisory Council called Symphony Collective, which is made up of recognized names. It includes ambassadors from major brands like Wendy’s or NBA, agencies like OMD, Day One, and Tool, as well as well-known platform influencers like David Ma.

The use cases for generative AI now seem to be expanding to other horizons!
