Design and ergonomics: nothing changes
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra offers a conventional, but effective design. Regulars of the range will not be disappointed, the tablet pushes the resemblance with its predecessors to the point of being backwards compatible with the Tab S9 Ultra’s folio keyboard. Identical dimensions (326.4 x 208.6 x 5.4 mm), so no big new features on the program. We quickly understand that the Chinese manufacturer’s objective here is to rethink the software approach rather than hardware. We thus find the same (superb) AMOLED panel, as well as the accessories allowing you to transform the terminal into an all-in-one work and creativity station.

We note some small, notable improvements on the product: firstly its finesse: it doesn’t seem like anything, but the tablet falls below the 5.5 mm thickness mark. For a 14.6-inch panel, the result is quite impressive. If it saves a few dozen grams when weighing, we are nevertheless not unhappy to protect our new acquisition in a protective folio case, which serves as a keyboard, support and storage for the S Pen .
With its all-reinforced aluminum coating and (this is new) its certification IP68Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is beautiful, very beautiful. Its finishes are perfect, its discreet double rear sensor, and its thin borders do not exceed 5 mm wide, which gives the screen 91% of available display areadisrupted by a simple notch intended to house the dual front photo sensor. However, the tablet offers a feeling of stability and solidity when held in the hand. The coating and the quality of the finishes probably have nothing to do with it, and we appreciate the presence of the S Pen stylus providedwhich attaches effectively to the back of the slate thanks to its magnetic charging system.
On the connector side, we find the speakers and the USB-C port on the side edges of the tablet, while the physical buttons are relegated to the top, so that they remain accessible when the device is positioned in tablet mode. A SIM/microSD drawer completes the package.
Screen: very beautiful and very large
The biggest advantage of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra undoubtedly lies in its XXL format. With his 14.6 inchesthe tablet rivals most laptops, and offers a very good compromise between working comfort and portability. Its Dynamic Amoled 2X panel in 1848 x 2960 pixels (239 ppi) coupled with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz spoils nothing. It’s beautiful, very beautiful.
The screen of the new Samsung tablet is intended to be very large, but above all very high-end. It also benefits from a excellent calibration default colors, non-existent afterglow, and high contrast, thanks to OLED. A fingerprint reader under the screen completes the whole thing.
Performance: nothing to envy of a PC
Exit the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which equipped the previous generation, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has chosen to abandon Qualcomm in favor of Mediatek. It is therefore flanked by a SoC Dimensity 9300+ that the brand’s new tablet wants to stand out from the competition, Apple’s iPad Pro in the front line. The result is intended to be generally equivalent to that of the previous generation, with a very good gaming managementand multitasking in general.
No slowdown or overheating to be expected, the user experience is optimal, and allows you to run any game from the PlayStore, 4K videos, office applications, or even switch to DeX mode when you prefer to use it. office automation. During a gaming session, and provided you arm yourself with a Bluetooth controller to streamline the in-game experience, the result meets our expectationsand rivals some PCs, even on the most demanding titles.
Photo and autonomy: almost perfect
At the back, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has two cameras. A 13 Mpx sensor with wide-angle optics opening at f/2, and an 8 Mpx ultra-wide-angle (f/2.2). On a daily basis, the result is very correct, but it remains anecdotal as it is rarely used.
It is at the front that the most important thing happens, with a double sensor on the frontintended for selfies, but especially for videoconference calls. With its two 12 Mpx cameras, one flanked by a wide-angle lens and the other by an ultra-wide-angle lens, the tablet offers a smoothed result, but more than sufficient for professional use. In addition, it is possible to film in 4K at 30 fps, both front and rear. Once again, the option will remain relatively little exploited, but it has the merit of doing what is asked of it.
In terms of autonomy, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra wants to do better than its predecessors, with imposing 11,200 mAh battery, subtly hidden in its thin metal casing. Coupled with solid software optimization and the power of its chipset, the latter offers the tablet very satisfactory autonomy, with more than 15 hours of mixed use before weakening. The charging time, on the other hand, is quite long. With a compatible 45 W power supply, but not supplied by the brand (as is now customary), it takes a little more two hours to the tablet to go from 0 to 100% autonomy. Nothing very surprising in this given the size, but we have to admit that we will sometimes have to be patient.
Software: AI above all
This was the major advantage of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra: if the Samsung tablet competes with its predecessors in terms of design, it on the other hand intends to make a real software revolution. It is no coincidence that the keyboard sold as an option now has a physical button dedicated to Galaxy AI. The artificial intelligence already implemented on the brand’s high-end smartphones benefits from optimization for large screens, and it’s life-changing.
For note-taking, for example, the AI operates in the background to record your meetings, but also provide a summary and a complete transcription of your interviews. The tablet’s large screen makes multi-windowing easier, allowing you to take notes directly from a web page, instantly translate any content, and even edit a photo in just a few seconds.
The presence of an S Pen takes on its full meaning here, since the stylus adapts effectively to all AI tools available. Google’s Circle to Search functionality, now optimized for the big screen, is even more fluid and intuitive. The novelty lies in the mode Sketch to Imagewhich allows you to transform hastily scribbled sketches into images. An addition that will undoubtedly remain anecdotal for many, but on which creative people are likely to spend hours.
The AI options deployed since the Galaxy Tab S9 continue to make our daily lives easier, to the point that we would now have a hard time doing without them. The interaction between the different products in the range is as easy as ever, and if DeX mode does not changethe tablet enjoys a complete and ultra-efficient user experience, whatever the intended objective.
On the interface side, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra runs under Android 14 with One UI 6.1. We won’t dwell on it, but unsurprisingly, it’s a success. The overlay is effective, and despite the far too many applications pre-installed on the machine, we have never been disappointed with the trip. This is undoubtedly the most complete and pleasant interface available on Android, perfectly adapted to the XXL screen of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Price and availability
Available in two new colors (Grey and Silver), the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is sold as expensive as a PC, with a price of 1349€ for the 12+256 GB version. Add to that two additional storage options (12+512 GB or 16 GB + 1 TB), as well as an optional 5G version, and the device quickly approaches €2,000. Enough to jostle with the latest iPad Pro. It’s beautiful, but it still stings a little.
