HTC is back in France with the HTC U24 Pro smartphone

HTC creates a surprise by announcing the launch of the HTC U24 Pro in France. What does this new smartphone have in store for us?

If you thought that the Taiwanese manufacturer had definitely turned the page to focus solely on its HTC Vive headset, you will be surprised. HTC intends to return to the forefront by demonstrating that it has not lost its know-how with the HTC U24 Pro.

HTC is banking on the mid-range for its big comeback

This mid-range smartphone combines design, performance and price. The HTC U24 Pro costs €549 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The U24 Pro has a 6.8-inch OLED display with curved edges on the sides. This shape almost makes the black edges disappear. The refresh rate of this 20:9 panel goes up to 120Hz.

HTC entrusts the controls of its smartphone to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. As indicated above, it is accompanied by 12GB of RAM which should give it enough power not to limit you in games.

The smartphone is powered by a 4600mAh battery. It is compatible with 60W charging and 15W wireless charging.

HTC U24 Pro – The essential artificial intelligence

A little touch of artificial intelligence will of course improve your photos. AI camera features include AI Group Photo to capture perfect expressions without posing, funny AI gesture-based GIFs for creative photos, and AI Night Portrait Restoration to improve clarity in blurry and dark photos.

Among the other strong points of the HTC U24 Pro, we should also mention the IP67 standard, a 3.5mm audio jack or microSD expansion.

HTC also relies on the quality of its camera. It consists of a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP wide-angle sensor dedicated to portraits. The Selfie camera is 50MP.

On paper, the HTC U24 Pro offer is attractive. We will have to see if it materializes during a future test. HTC pre-order starts on June 24, 2024.
