Since 2020, the date of its launch, the Summer Game Fest has become one of the unmissable events on the world video game scene. This broadcast of more than two hours lifts the veil on the video games to be released soon. If on this occasion many titles were revealed (Civilization 7, Lego Horizon, Gears of War E-Day…), there is one that caught my eye and it is nothing more no less than the new baby of the brilliant Keiichiro Toyama to whom we owe Silent Hill, Forbidden Siren and the much too underestimated Gravity Rush. Sorry! His new project, Slitterhead, presents itself as a horror action game in which you play as an entity which, like a parasite, has the particularity of taking possession of several bodies (men, women, animals, etc.) equipped with skills specific to each individual in order to fight a whole bestiary of monsters, each one as horribly inspired as the next. This enjoyable transfer mechanic was the flavor of games like Second Sight and Geist. Let’s also highlight the presence of the brilliant Akira Yamaoka on the music and you get a title that will have to be watched when it is released on November 8 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series and PC.
