Here is the interior of the Fiat Grande Panda, the new affordable electric car

A few days after its first official images, the Fiat Grande Panda was approached during an advertising shoot, allowing us to discover the colorful interior of this new electric car. Enough to accentuate the gap with its cousin, the electric Citroën C3.

Fiat created a surprise at the end of last week by presenting the first images of its new electric car, the Grande Panda. However, many mysteries remained unanswered before its official presentation, scheduled for July 11.

Some of these mysteries have just been resolved with photos taken during an advertising shoot in Turin, which provide a first visual of the passenger compartment and the very original dashboard of this affordable electric car.

A marked difference with the Citroën ë-C3

These photos were taken by the account @au_TOspotter on Instagram, who spotted the new Fiat during a shoot. Enough to discover this Grande Panda in a new color, a very “seventies” copper, but above all a first glimpse of its interior.

There we find a very original and colorful dashboard, taking up the main lines of the 2019 Centoventi concept, and which differs significantly from that of its technical twin, the Citroën ë-C3. The colors and materials are much more pop on the Italian, which also seems to benefit from a large screen for the meters, where the Citroën makes do with a small “head-up” display. A second glove box also appears on the passenger side.

More mysteries

However, these photos do not reveal all the secrets of this new electric Fiat, which will strengthen the brand’s offering, alongside the license-free Topolino, the 500e and the 600e.

Curious thing: a photo seems to reveal a socket on the grille, while the Citroën has to make do with a “traditional” location on the left side – a cover is also present there on the Fiat. Response in July, therefore, where we will surely know more about the technical sheet of this Grande Panda, and perhaps about its pricing claims before its launch at the end of the year.

As a reminder, the small Fiat is based on the Stellantis “Smart Car” platform inaugurated by the Citroën C3, and should therefore use the 113 hp electric motor associated with a 44 kWh LFP battery, enough to promise a range of around 320 km and an access price below 25,000 euros excluding bonus. Fiat has already announced hybrid and thermal versions.
