Xiaomi has just announced the launch of its new entry-level smartphone, the POCO C75. This model, which succeeds the C65, is intended to be the most accessible from less than 132 euros for first buyers, and to offer interesting services despite everything.

We know that the Xiaomi company offers not only its own brand, but also POCO, a division which focuses on essential characteristics in order to offer the most attractive quality/price ratio. These are often configurations and chassis offered as Xiaomi phones which are slightly reworked to appear under the POCO brand. The new C75 is the perfect illustration of this, since it shares almost all the technical and physical characteristics with the Redmi 14C which is one of the best sellers on Amazon.

The POCO C75 is therefore equipped with a very large 6.88-inch screen using LCD display technology. Despite a very large diagonal that we can appreciate, we could see the pixels, given that its definition is HD+ therefore 1640 x 720 pixels. To “catch up”, the device offers an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, thus ensuring smooth navigation in the interface. The brand announces a maximum brightness of 600 cd/m².

The screen also benefits from double TÜV Rheinland certification, meaning that it limits eye fatigue thanks to the reduction of blue light and the elimination of flicker.

Sufficient performance for daily use?

Under the hood, we find a MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor, accompanied by two memory configurations: 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage, or 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of storage. The RAM can be virtually expanded up to 16 GB to improve multitasking performance. The device runs Android 14 with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS interface, which replaces MIUI. We can also certainly count on a good batch of pre-installed third-party applications.

The photo part revolves around a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, associated with an auxiliary sensor whose characteristics have not been specified. For selfies, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel front sensor, compatible with night mode. A built-in light ring helps improve the quality of self-portraits in low-light conditions.

Generous autonomy and wide connectivity

The POCO C75 has a 5160 mAh battery, compatible with 18W charging. The charger is not included in the box. In terms of connectivity, the device offers access to 4G networks. It is also Bluetooth 5.4 compatible and offers dual-band Wi-Fi. Note the presence of a 3.5 mm jack for connecting headphones or an external audio system. A fingerprint reader is integrated on the edge near the sleep button.

A pleasant design

The smartphone adopts a modern design with a centered circular photo module which gives it the look of a high-end model. Indeed, this organization is reminiscent of the Honor Magic but also the Xiaomi with more muscular configurations. It features textured finishes reminiscent of natural stone. It is available in three colors (black, green and gold). It weighs 204 grams and is 8.22 millimeters thick.

Availability and price of the POCO C75 smartphone

The POCO C75 is sold from 151.90 euros for the 6 GB/128 GB version, while the 8 GB/256 GB configuration is offered at 171.90 euros. Note that, for any purchase before November 13, the brand is offering 20 euros off, whatever the version.
