There's clearly no need to be a soothsayer to say that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a success. While we know for example that almost half of active US players on Xbox Series X/S played Call of Duty (Modern Warfare II + Modern Warfare III + Black Ops 6 + Warzone) during the week of 21 as of October 26, we learned today that owners of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have also rushed to Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 dominates PlayStation download charts
PlayStation has just released its PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 game download charts in the United States/Canada and Europe zones, thus showing the presence of a certain Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at the top. This is reminiscent of a certain Sea of Thieves, another Microsoft production, which managed to stay in the charts for several months.
Note that these are downloads, not sales, although the two are certainly linked unless players enjoy uninstalling and installing their games numerous times.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is thus the most downloaded game on PlayStation 5 in the United States/Canada zone and in Europe, while on PlayStation 4, only in the United States/Canada zone it sits at the top, since it only occupies the second position in Europe, behind EA Sports FC 25.
Note that other productions belonging to Microsoft and Xbox appear in these charts. For example, we can note the presence of Minecraft in second place among the most downloaded games on PlayStation 4 in the United States/Canada zone, and in fourth place in Europe.
As surprising as it may seem, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 is in tenth place among the most downloaded games in the United States/Canada zone on PlayStation 4. Finally, the Call of Duty franchise shows up one last time with Warzone, which is the fourth most downloaded free game in the United States/Canada zone and in Europe, PlayStation 4 and 5 combined.
To take a look at all the platforms on which Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available, let's remember that the Call of Duty application managed to bring together 315,334 players simultaneously on Steam on October 28. Note, however, that the hub brings together several games in the franchise, although we can imagine that a large majority of players were on Black Ops 6.
If you want to help push Black Ops 6's numbers up, then you can jump into the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 as well as PC via Steam, the Windows Store and Battle.net . The title integrated Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from its launch, as well as PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
