LEGO remporte 10 nominations aux Toy of the Year Awards 2025

The Toy Foundation has announced nominations for the 2025 Toy of the Year (TOTY) awards, including no less than ten nominations for the LEGO Group.

These annual awards aim to recognize the best toys ahead of the holiday season, highlighting the strengths of the global toy industry in different categories. They also raise money for the Toy Foundations’ charities to help children in need around the world.

The LEGO Group was nominated for 10 products across eight categories, with LEGO Ideas in particular winning the most nominations. From vehicle and building figures to minifigures and educational sets, LEGO sets have managed to impress the Toy Foundation in many areas.

Now it’s time for the public to have their say by visiting the Toy Awards website to vote for their favorites in the 16 categories. The winners in each category, as well as the overall Toy of the Year winner and the People’s Choice winner (based solely on consumer votes), will be announced at the TOTY Awards Gala on February 28, 2025, at New York.

The awards ceremony will also mark the start of the annual toy fair, which runs from March 1-4. All proceeds from the event (including TOTY nomination fees) will be donated to TTF initiatives, including the Children’s Hospital Play Grants program, which aims to bring the healing power of play to children in hospital settings; the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program, which aims to reach all communities through gaming; and the Toy Bank program, which aims to provide the comfort and security of a toy to children in need around the world.

“This year’s TOTY Awards finalists exemplify our industry’s talent for bringing joy, encouraging exploration and enhancing learning through the power of play,” said Pam Mastrota, executive director of the Toy Foundation. “We are proud to celebrate not only these innovative toys, but also the philanthropic impact that fundraising for the TOTY Awards celebration will have on the physical and emotional well-being of children in need around the world. »

I write about all the best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win a little, you lose a little.
