After being crowned with success in the metropolis, the piece The Crazy Cage will take place at the Théâtre Capitole in Quebec next January.

Starring Marcel Leboeuf and Alex Perron in the roles of Georges and Albin, the comedy will be presented in the old capital from January 23 to 25, 2025.

The peaceful existence of a couple, owners of a transvestite dancers’ cabaret called La Cage aux Folles, is turned upside down when the son of one of them tells his father that he is going to marry the daughter of an ultraconservative politician from Quebec.

Rainbow, Michel Dorion, Tracy Trash, Annie Brocoli and Nana also star in this burlesque play, directed by Joël Legendre, who also signs the Quebec adaptation with Sylvain Larocque.

“I remember as if it were yesterday, the call from Denise Filiatrault who offered me the role of Laurent in the legendary comedy The Crazy Cage. […] It’s exactly the same excitement that I felt when the producer Paul Dupont-Hébert asked me to direct this play which made me so happy in the summer of 1990,” Joël said with Legendre.
