This is THE strategy and management series par excellence from Ubisoft. ANNO created a surprise during this evening’s Ubisoft Forward with, not yet another update of ANNO 1800, but indeed a brand new game. We didn’t expect it and that’s great for now.

We thought we had seen almost everything with ANNO, past and future, but ultimately we were far from it. This time, the industry is over. ANNO 117 teleports us… to ancient Rome! An era once visited with a few games like Caesar for example, but ultimately forgotten in time. With ANNO 117 Pax Romana, Ubisoft takes us back to one of the most important and exciting eras in history. As governor, you will build the empire and direct its destiny, choosing to forge it through force and domination or through growth and economics,” Ubisoft announces. In the purest tradition of the games in the franchise ultimately.
In any case, the developers are betting very, very big and believe that this new ANNO will be the largest and most detailed Roman simulation to date. We can notably build in Latium or in the Celtic land of Albion while managing various constructions of the time such as aqueducts or of course, the impressive Colosseum.
